ABOUT THE SCULPTURE

From a distance, the colours and details of “Flight to Stone” pool into a single entity. Upon closer inspection, the images and symbols come into sharper focus. The objects that float on the surface of the kiwi interact with the rest of the painting, and remains open to the viewer's interpretation. Logan’s intent was to capture the kiwi's story, employing a spontaneous, stream-of-consciousness painting style. However, it soon transformed into a reflection of his own emotions and state of mind. He began to contemplate the kiwi's environment and the one he inhabits – a mix of uncertainty, unease, and hope.

Logan Moffat

Logan Moffat is a visionary artist on a relentless quest to redefine the boundaries of introspection and connection through his paintings.
