The sale of the sculptures in the Kiwi Art Trail 2024/25 generated $150,000 for kiwi conservation.

The 2025 auction

After a six-month roadshow around Te Ika-a-Māui the North Island, the Kiwi Art Trail culminated with auctioning off these beautiful sculptures to raise much-needed funds for kiwi conservation.

Eight sculptures were sold pre-auction for $10,000 each, including to buyers in London, San Francisco, Italy, and Liechtenstein.

Eight sculptures were listed online via GalaBid.

Nine sculptures were sold at a live auction event at Auckland’s Hyundai Marine Sports Centre on Wednesday 9th April.

One sculpture, designed by 14-year-old Abby Taylor from Pakuranga College, was donated back to her school.

Combined, the sales of these beautiful sculptures generated approximately $150,000.

These sculptures were sold for $10,000 each pre-auction, including to art buyers in London, New York, Italy, and Liechtenstein.
