Lucia is based in Auckland where she enthusiastically colours walls, tells visual stories and brings walls to live with bold colours, cheeky details, playful patterns and a healthy dose of imagination. Originally from South Africa, she draws her inspiration from nature, culture and the little stories that make place special. Lucia’s work is all about turning ordinary spaces into something a little more colourful and bright, whether it is armed with spray cans, paintbrushes or digital designs. She creates everything from large-scale murals to collaborative community and school projects. Weaving together unexpected patters, local stories and burst of colour to create artwork that makes people stop and hopefully smile. For Lucia, art is about more than pretty pictures - it’s about sparking curiosity, celebrating the character and culture of a place and helping people discover their similarities.
