Agate is a Latvian-born illustrator and artist now based in Auckland, New Zealand. Working under the name Restless & Infectious, she creates vibrant, expressive artworks that explore people, emotion, and the small moments of joy found in everyday life.

With a background in fashion design, Agate’s artistic journey began in fashion illustration, a foundation that continues to influence her distinctive visual style. After studying at Riga Design and Art School, she furthered her education in Denmark and the Netherlands, completing degrees in Design & Business at TEKO and the Amsterdam Fashion Institute.

Agate’s work is characterised by bold colour palettes, fluid forms, and playful characters that inhabit imaginative alternative realities. Drawing inspiration from personal experiences, shifting moods, and the aesthetics of contemporary pop culture, her artworks capture human connection and life's pleasures with warmth, humour, and a sense of optimism.
